adminOur Annual Kenfab Outreach: A Hand Up, Not Just a Handout
At Kenfab, our annual outreach program is more than just an event it is a movement of compassion. Designed to serve the most vulnerable members of our community the less privileged, widows, and the elderly this initiative is our way of saying, *”A wa pẹ́lú yín” (We are with you).
This year, we are bringing holistic care directly to those who need it most. Our team of dedicated healthcare professionals will offer free medical checkups, including blood pressure screening, malaria testing, blood sugar checks, and general consultations. For those diagnosed with common ailments, we will provide essential medicines antimalarials, antibiotics, pain relievers, and supplements at no cost, saving families from the nightmare of choosing between drugs and food.
But we don’t stop there. Recognizing that hunger is a daily reality for many, we will distribute food packs containing Nigerian staples: rice, beans, garri, semolina, groundnut oil, seasoning cubes, and tomatoes. We will also share gently used clothing bubu gowns for the elderly, children’s wears, and casual outfits to help families stay dignified and comfortable.
Beyond the tangible goods, this program is about restoring hope. It is a day where widows find new friends, the elderly feel celebrated, and our community proves that “A n’jẹ ọkan-ara wa” (We are our brother’s keeper).
How You Can Make a Difference: Ways to Donate & Get Involved
We cannot do this alone. We invite you to support us..whether big or small can transform lives. Here are practical ways to partner with us, reflecting our local economy:
1. Financial Contributions (One-Time or Monthly)
👉Sponsor a Full Health Checkup: ₦5,000 covers consultation, malaria test, blood sugar check, and basic drugs for one elderly person.
👉Provide a Medicine Pack: ₦14,700 supplies antimalarial, painkillers, and multivitamins for a family of four.
👉Feed a Family for One Week: ₦13,700 buys a food pack containing 5kg rice, 2kg beans, 2kg garri, cooking oil, seasoning, and tomatoes.
❤️Sponsor an Entire Elderly Person’s Package (Checkup + Drugs + Food + Clothing): ₦12,400 gives one person complete care.

2. In-Kind Donations (Goods)
We welcome new or gently used:
Clothing: Iro and buba, agbada, native wears, children’s clothes, sweaters, and wrappers (especially larger sizes for the elderly).
· Food Items: Rice, beans, garri, semolina, spaghetti, groundnut oil, palm oil, seasoning cubes, salt, sugar, and tin tomatoes.
· Medicines (Unopened & Unexpired): Paracetamol, chloroquine/artemisinin-based antimalarials, amoxicillin, vitamin C, and hypertension drugs.

3. Volunteer Your Time & Skills
👉Medical Professionals: Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and lab scientists..we need you for the outreach day.
Non-Medical Helpers: Help pack food bags, sort clothes, register attendees, direct traffic, or serve meals.
👉 Drivers & Van Owners: Assist with transporting goods or picking up elderly participants who cannot walk far.
👉Pro bono Services: Lawyers, makeup artists, barbers, and photographers..we’d love your skills to make the day special for our beneficiaries.

4. Corporate & Group Sponsorships
👉Small Business Sponsorship (₦50,000–₦200,000): Have your brand logo on our flyers, banners, and social media posts.
Sponsor a Health Checkup: $9 covers a full medical screening for one elderly person.
👉Provide a Medicine Pack: $11 supplies essential prescription drugs for a family of four.
Feed a Family: $10 provides a week’s worth of nutritious food staples
👉Church/Club Drives: Organize a “Food Sunday” or “Clothing Saturday” in your fellowship and bring the collected items to us.
